    3. Perhaps some clues to your spaceship James Whitaker. Have you researched possible connections to the Baltimore County, MD line who migrated to Allegheny County, PA shortly after the French and Indian War? Here is a very net list of possible clues: 1820 Dearborn Indiana Census lists 5 adult male Whitakers, three John's, a James (yours I gather) and a Daniel. Two of the John's are listed as over age 45. Seems likely one of these John's is the father. It looks like this may be an index typo and there may actually only be one John Whitaker over 45. Who is this family? Well, the first names are common (including your later Elijah) with the Whitaker's or Western PA in mid to late 1700's. Much as been written about this family and their origins in Baltimore County, MD. In summary, it appears 4 brothers, Rev. John, James, Abraham, and Isaac, sons of Charles and Mary Kemble Whitaker who died in 1739 in Baltimore County, MD, moved to area near Ft. Pitt in western PA around 1767. It appears Isaac may have died relatively young. Rev. John and his extended family moved down the Ohio in 1780 to near Louisville, KY and founded the large Shelby County KY and vacinity Whitaker line there. Brothers James and Abraham stayed in Allegheny County, PA. Both James and Abraham left wills in Allegheny County, PA. James' will is recorded in June 1789 and names sons Aaron, Abraham, Isaac, James, and Daniel. The first three appear to have stayed in the area and have lines that have been traced. Do not have definitive information on James and Daniel and they appear to have left the area. It may be that Daniel is the Daniel Whitaker found shortly after near Natchez Mississippi. No John though. Brother Abraham Whitaker left a will in Allegheny County, PA. in Feb. 1792. He names wife Susannah and children: Martha Vaughn, Isaac, James, and JOHN. Witnesses are Simon Fletcher, Joseph West, and Robert McNair. Executor William Vaughn and wife Susannah. What is interesting is that this entire family of Whitaker's appear to have disappeared from Western PA by 1800 and to my knowledge have not been traced. This Abraham Whitaker was born in I believe 1737. It appears his children are named in birth order and at least his daughter if not all are adults. If his first born, Martha, was born when Abraham was about 24, then she would have been born about 1761, Isaac about 1763, James about 1765, and John about 1767 or in that general date range. Thus this John Whitaker, son of Abraham would have been likely over 45 years old in 1820 and fits the age. So you have two John Whitaker's who could be the same man based on age range, one disappearing from western PA and the other showing up later in Indiana along the natural migration route down the Ohio River from PA to Indiana. Anyway, I would suggest you look for the origins of your spaceship James in the family this Whitaker family of western PA. Hope this helps. This extended Whitaker family appears to have stayed on the vanguard of the frontier. Ind. before that. I think they came from a space ship. good news is Elijahs wife.,Mary Sharp had a good line that leads back to John Wolverton. and after that to Royal lines. that are very good. way into year 1000AD & before. At least the female lines are doing well. If anyone has any clues to my James Whitaker. census 1820 well, doubt it. as space ships kept few records. He didn;t leave any here on earth eather.... Not that I can find. My only hope is finding a live cousin someplace.... thanks whitaker cousins;.
