Hello- I am not yet a subscriber to your list, but wonder if I might pose a query?? My great-grandfather was Joseph GREAVES, b. November 8, 1855 in Upper Wortley, Hunslet, Yorshire, England (in the vicinity of Leeds). His parents were Joseph GREAVES (a "woollen cloth manufacturer") and wife Maria WHITAKER/WHITTAKER Greaves. The younger Joseph emigrated in the early 1880s to Providence, RI, then to New Bedford, MA, USA. I would love to hear from anyone researching this or related lines. Thank you very much for your help.
