Sorry that I cannot help you with your Thomas Whitaker. I am a descendent of James Whitaker(born ca 1820 in Georgia) who married Anna Crim (born ca 1815 in South Carolina). They were my great-great grandparents. Their children were, John W. who married Marcella Jeffcoat, Hilliard G. who married Carrie Redmond, Henry E. (my great-grandfather), who married Louisa Crim, (daughter of Godfrey Crim), Polly who married Job Redmond, Jacob M. who married Harriett Wise and James.
