    3. I figured I should post what I (think I) know of my Whitaker line of Virginia. Here it is: John William Whitaker (4/17/1845-4/27/1926) md. Elvira Susan Furbush (6/30/1849-12/27/1900) Their children were: Walter Whitaker (b. 11/15/1873) Ada Bell Whitaker (b. 6/3/1875) Martha Edmonia Whitaker (b. 2/24/1877) Mary Susan Whitaker (b. 11/15/1878) Charlie Edward Whitaker (b. 7/10/1880) Sarah Ann Whitaker (b. 4/17/1882) Bessie Virginia Whitaker (b. 8/4/1884) Robert Baxter Whitaker (b. 2/19/1886) Laura Ellen Whitaker (b. 12/16/1888) William Joel Whitaker (b. 12/25/1893) James Noel Whitaker (b. 12/26/1893) I have family genealogy info. on our Cheatham/Furbush/Whitaker line that was given to my mother's cousin by a Furbush relative. There's a good chance you may be researching some of the other names mentioned in this material, so I'm going to list some of them for you: Baker, Caldwell, Hancock, Branch, Wilson, Irwin, Finch, Fowlkes, Webb, Marshall, Ferguson, Simms, Davidson, Merryman, McClure, Smith, Parrish, Tanner, Sutler, Short, Moon, Sawyer, Chamberlayne, Middleton, Shelton, Hurt, Ondorph, Rudd, Buchanan, Hinton, Sessions, Loyless, Chitty, Bryan. There are others, but this is a good sampling of them. And I think they are not only of Virginia but Georgia & NC, too, and other southern areas?? -Jean I hope this helps someone & doesn't make things more confusing. I've been on the internet for a year or so now, but I still don't claim to know all that much about genealogy. ______________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free Email at http://www.hotmail.com
