Does anyone on the list have any knowledge of James Whitaker of Bedwin Magna, Wiltshire, England who married in 1690 Mary Martin b. Bedwin Magna, Wiltshire England, daughter of Thomas Martin and Margery who married in 1675 in England and arrived in Chester Co.,Pennsylvania in 1685 on the Unicorne, Thomas Cooper master? It appears that they may have been Quakers. A James Whitaker came to Chester Co. PA In 1783 on the ship Endeavor as servant to the Nickson (Nixon) family. I am interested in any Wiltshire Whitaker families, since my Jonathan Whitaker b. 1690 family was said to have been from Wiltshire. Also, I have found my Eliphalet Whitaker b. 1732 listed as an administration for a Robert Poston in 1784 in Chester Co., PA. Does anyone know of a Whitaker-Poston connection?
