My grandfather Fred Caughtus was born Nov. 6, 1890 to Miss Hannie Whitaker who is my great-grandmother. I was wondering if anybody could tell me how to go about getting information in trying to find out who my great-grandfather was. Knowing 3 of my great-grandfathers and not him is about to drive me to my wits' end. I know I shouldn't give up and due to my Irish ancestry, I'm not.
