I also have TN Whitaker, where in TN are your ancestors. Mine migrated there from NC. My William Billy Whitaker died in McNairy Co., TN. in 1874 and his wife Mary Polly Lewis died there also in 1878. They had 4 children known to me, Wm. Burton, Elizabeth, James Martin and Caroline. Wm. Burton was my Great Grandfather who settled in his mid life in Lauderdale Co., MS, where I live part time.
