Some WHITAKER graves in and around the Savannah, GA area (Chatham County) that I wrote down during my last visit this last year: - WHITAKER, William A., b. June 11, 1814, d. September 20, 1890; buried at BrickYard Cemetery on Hwy 204, about 3-4 miles west of I-95, south of Savannah, GA. Does anyone know who this WHITAKER is? - WHITAKER, Frank H., b. June 28, 1894, d. July 10, 1951; buried at Dorchester Cemetery, on Islands Road approx. 5 miles west of I-95 and just south of Midway. The following are buried at Laurel Grove Cemetery (North division), Anderson St, Savannah, GA: - Whitaker, Dwight Vestal - d. March 5, 1941, husband of Mabel Crosby - Whitaker, Mabel Crosby - June 16, 1886, d. July 10, 1938, wife of Dwight Vestal Whitaker - Whitaker, Helene Ercell - February 20, 1903, d. May 26, 1904, daughter of Dwight Vestal Whitaker & Mabel Crosby - Whitaker, John Vestal, b. 1830, d. December 24, 1914, Civil War Veteran, father of Dwight Vestal Whitaker; aged 80 yrs My WHITAKER lines are from Surry County, NC, but thought these might be of some help to some on the list.
