    2. You are right! They came from England - the first ones - about 1613. Then much later they migrated to North Carolina - the still later - about 1760-1765 they went to South Caroline. From their (there were so many of them) they went everywhere. Some stayed in SC, some went back to NC and some even stayed in NC, some went to Georgia, some to LA, Ark, and then to TEXAS. I will try to get you more than this sometime this week. Hope we can hook and and find that we are cousins. Cookey Bradford Young P.S.     3. Is there any connection to Whitakers, Whittakers in New York? I have Sylvanus a land owner in Edinburgh, Saratoga Co. 1813-1860? and James in Saratoga Springs. 1840-1865.
