To all Whitakers... Years ago, Mrs. hester Bartlett Jackson of Dobson, N.C., a Whitaker genealogist and noted historian, published a book titled "The Descendants of William Whitaker and his brother Jonathan Whitaker of Surry County, North Carolina." Many of you know of this book. It is considered the Whitaker Bible for those of you who have ancestors from this area.
