Peggy, I am a direct descendant of William Whitaker of Nacogdoches County, TX. I don't have any information of John Taylor Whittiker. However there are descendants named Cox that are descended from William's brother, Joseph who also settled in Nacogdoches county. Fannie Wade (below) married Zeno Cox on Jul 20, 1910. He was married to Martha P. Robinson in 1872 in Franklin Co., Ark. He was born 10 April 1848 in Mt. Vernon, Tx. The only relative close that we know of was Margaret Ann Whittiker Price Cox. She was also born there. She married in Fannin Co., Tx and can track her line but no one knows anything of her family history. We found papers in Upsur Co., Tx that he was an heir of William Whitaker of Nacgodoches Co., Tx. but we have no proof or can we connect him with any of the children that were clearly stated in the disposition of land.
