Hello Gail, There are a number of us out here on the Whitaker list, but it is not very active. (Much less so than any of the others I am on). I have Whitakers who came to Texas also, but mine came from Pickens Co. Alabama. This line was from Georgia and originally came from Somerset Co., New Jersey. There are quite a few James Whitaker's who descended from this New Jersey line and several were in Ohio. Stay on the list and keep trying on your line.
