Hi, I just found out that my great3 grandfather was Benjamin Whitaker, a clothier and woollen manufacturer in Leeds and vicinity in the early- to mid-1800s. My guess is that he was born about 1790-95. I know of one child: Maria Whitaker, b. 1815-20, in Wortley (near Leeds), YKS in 1815-1820. She married Joseph Greaves.
