Desperately seeking Harmon WHITACRE! My great-great-grandfather was Harmon WHITACRE b. abt 1827 perhaps in Ohio. He managed to avoid every census I can get my hands on! He was in Illinois in 1852 when my great-grandfather Cyrus Deming (C.D.) WHITACRE was born. His wife was Mary DEMING according to Cyrus's death certificate. Have seen other trees with Harmon WHITACRE marrying Mary SIMER. ANY one out there who can help clear up this muddy picture for me????
