Hi- I'm just getting started on my Whitaker research. My great3 grandparents were Benjamin Whitaker and his wife Sarah (perhaps with the maiden name Whitaker), who were married at St. Peter's, Leeds, Yorkshire, England in 1810. Benjamin was employed in the textile industry. (According to IGI records, based on parish church extractions -- and needing confirmation) their children were: Hannah (b. 1811), Sarah (b. 1813), Thomas (b. 1816), Maria (my great2 grandmother, b. 1818), Martha (b. 1821), Benjamin (b. 1823), Caroline (b. 1825), Eliza (b. 1828), William (b. 1830), and John Mawson (b. 1837). The children were christened in Armley and Wortley by Leeds, YKS. I'd be interested in collaborating with anyone who might have a link. Thanks for your help.
