    2. Joanne and others interested in descendants of Joseph Musgrave Whitaker that came to America in the 1770s as a British soldier and settled on the border of Chester and Berks County, Pennsylvania: I am doing some proofreading in preparation for printing out many of his descendants soon. If you are interested in this, I will be happy to add some copies to the number I had planned to print. You may email me direct with your name and address. A price has not yet been established, but I will charge only for printing, bounding, and postage. My time is a gift to family and interested friends. I will notify you of price before I print final copies. I am waiting for a couple of families that have only recently been in contact and are getting information to me. I will not wait very much longer, however. Barbara at BBarken73@aol.com

    3. I have a very large listing of descendants of Joseph Musgrave Whitaker. Have we shared in the past? Or have you shared with Louis S Whitaker? 3. Barbara: I am new to the Whitaker list as of yesterday. Have only just begun to explore my Whitaker line. My great grandfather was Walter Edwards Whitaker, b. Aug 9, 1881 in Collinsville, Madison Co., IL, m. Clara Bella Hatfield approx. 1901, d. Jan 10, 1942 in Bakersfield, Kern Co. CA. His siblings were Harry Whitaker and Ralph Whitaker, and Emma Whitaker d. 1912. His father was William B. Whitaker, b. 1845 in Clarksville, Montgomery Co., TN, m. Annis Lauretta Penny May 24, 1871 in Madison Co., IL, d. July 15, 1902 in St. Louis, MO. I do not know his father, but it is safe to say he was in Clarksville, Montgomery Co., TN in 1845. Let me know the price of your book. I'm not sure if anything in it applies to me at this early date. P.A.
