Does anyone out there have any information on Peter Whitaker, born 1805 in NC? He married Frances "Fanny" White (daughter of Robert White and ?) c. 1831 in Ashe County, NC. Peter reportedly died 1852 in Ashe County. Children of Peter Whitaker and Fanny White are: Lucy Whitaker m. Alphus Killen William Whitaker m. Elizabeth Lipps Frances Whitaker m. Solomon Younts Thursa Whitaker m. (1) Squire Bentley and (2) William Riley Hall Martha "Patsy" Whitaker m. Thomas Hall John Whitaker m. Jane Vanover Issac Whitaker m. Mary Bentley Wright Nancy Whitaker m. Reuben McFall Martha "Patsy" Whitaker Hall is my great grandmother. Her father Peter is my "stumbling block".
