Looking for information on Hannah Whitacre who married Alexander McPherson.... both of PA who moved to New Paris (Preble County, OH) are and then on to Whitewater (formerly Hillsboro) Indiana. I descend from their daughter Elizabeth who was born in Chester County, PA. I found this article listed in an old New Paris newspaper.... "John Whitaker died in Philadelphia before Revolutionary War leaving fortune. Rev. William G. Whitaker of Panamia Nebraska is seeking descendants/local heirs Henry Whitaker, Mrs. Allen, Mrs. Nelllie Smith, Mrs. W.V. Whitley, Mrs. Mary Peters Mr. George McPherson, Mrs. Kate Clawson and Mrs. Sarah Foster (the last six names are brothers and sisters to Elizabeth McPherson Thomas....my ggg grandmother.)
