Hi Whitakers: I have some old photos from my grandmothers collection. One of them was labeled by an uncle "Mom's old beau". The photo is labeled Herbert Whitaker. I guess the date at 1910 +-. At this time my grandmother (Arizona Pearle Spawr) was living in Ripley or Butler County Missouri. Herberts address is on the back of this very small studio portrait and I can make out Seventh------, Coast Artillery Corps, U.S. Army, Ft. Moultrie, S.C. Herbert is apparently a cadet in a military unit. If anyone thinks this could be their Herbert Whitaker, I will try to scan it and send you the image.
