We have Melvina WHITAKER (also listed as WHITEAKER) born supposedly in KY around 1820, daughter of John WHITAKER, wife unknown. Melvina married James John Campbell August 15, 1843 in Claiborne County, Tennessee. They moved to Jones County, Clay Township, Iowa by the 1850 census. They had five children at least, one of which was Eldridge CAMPBELL. Melvina's father John WHITAKER moved to Knox County, MO by 1860. Hope this connects with someone. Don and Mary in Wyoming
