Janet--- We have "talked" before about our James Whitakers from Dearborn Co. I still think the coincidence of both of us having a James Whitaker in the 1820 IN census in Dearborn with a son named Daniel is too great to ignore. Somewhere, somehow, we are related. I have pretty much determined that James had two sons in Dearborn at that time: Daniel b. 1790 and an older brother, John, born Feb. 16, 1786, both in PA. James wife was Jemima Moore. His father was John who, probably, remained in PA where this family was from. James died, probably, in Allen Co. where the family finally settled in IN. Does this help in your search? I know I have run into nothing but dead ends on this family, but I suspect we do connect with some of the other Whitakers we see on the net. Beverly
