    2. There is always something handed down from generation to generation. On my side of the Whitakers it's "Irregular Heart Beats", Arrythmia. My father died of coronary thrombosis caused by "Atrial Fibulation, (another form of arrythmia). Because the blood stops flowing, it will clot. Medicine and Doctors today have a good handle on this condition making it a minor ailment as long as we have it monitored on a regular basis. Our ancestor Edward Kinball Whitaker appeared to have some form of this problem but by controlling stress, in the country for a year, he was able to over come the problem. Bob Whitaker (California)

    3. Bob, you're right. It's one of the things about tracing the family lines no matter where they go. How often have we gone to the doctor and had him ask if there is any history of ????? in the family? I'm married into a Whitaker line but two of my half sisters and I have all had lupus. We joked with the doctors about what the chances could be that dad had married three different women with a predisposition to it and were assured it was a million to one. Dorothy and Carol are both gone now and I'm in the middle of a flare right now that is convincing me I need to start taking care of me and stop teaching (even parttime). For right now, I'll just keep on keepin' on. Wanda VanderVeen [Tennessee] > There is always something handed down from generation to generation.
