This is the first break I've ever had in this line for years. I'm so excited. also to find a new cousin!!! you!! well, maybe we should find out a bit about each other. I'm Janet Spitz Whitaker ( youknew that.) b. 1933 in Nebr. married into Whitaker line. Ron was my husband, he d. 1998 nov 8th soon to be 3 years now he's been gone. I have 3 children. all now living in Ohio. they were all born in Nebr and I lived there over 40 years I'm, 68 years old. and live in canton Ohio. which has a wonderful Gen. libeary that has great ohio subjects and other things close by. I also enjoy painting. I do oils. watercolors and love to paint anything . shirts. faces. whatever. birdwatcher. and love to travel. hope I can keep going. I enjoy outdoors, camping, campfires. sleeping in a tent. waking in the morning to birds singing nearby. I just wrote a book about angels called. " Angels for everyday People" ($10.00_) +PP and it;s stories I've collected from people I've met. and I tell you I had to talk to a lot of people to get these stories., some stories are really wonderful really shows the love of God and some of the "saves" God does for us. others are heartwarming. you'd enjoy the book. it is no religon. rather I spoke to all colors and religons to get these stories. I had 1,000 printed last christmas and I only have 400 left. and selling them myself. well, that;s about who I am. so let's hear about you. where you live and family. Now about your information. I'm delighted we are shareing a grandfather. your Daniel and my James are no doubt brothers. that is just unbelievable. I am danceing on the celling. so in the 1820 census of Ind. we found about 4 Whitaker's. I do not have my census records in front of me. but do we have all of those whitaker figured out??? the father is JOHN> then my James and your Daniel. there was another I thought. Yes. I'd like to know who Daniels children were. as I have found records for some whitakers I thought should be in family and didn;t know where they fit. seems there was a Rowsey or such. who was he? think he married a whitaker girl. Now that I'm home again. I'm back to work again. but problem about my printer isn;t working. darn!!!! grrrr. I foreward the information you send me to the other whitaker cousins. they are MUCH closer family. ( they come from James) while your coming from John.
