I am trying to trace the parents and siblings of JAMES COTTON WHITAKER who may have been born in Oklahoma. He married (about 1906) Vinna Campbell SHACKELFORD in Marion, IL. This may have been his second marriage. They had 4 children—Grace, James, Martha and Mary Josephine. Vinna died 20 June 1919 in Casper, WY. At that time James was working for Midwest Refining Co. Can anyone help here?
