This is an interesting tidbit of news.. thought that I would share as I am sure most of us have at least one line we are researching in the UK... Jeannie <>< Here is some very interesting news for all those looking for UK connections. Births Death Marriage Records on the Net - UK To: [email protected] Hi Listers, Next month in Parliament, the Labour MP for Upminster, Keith Darvill, will present a Bill before the House of Commons to put all records of birth, death and marriage on the Internet. If successful, it will mean that we do not need to be charged £6.50 each time we want to look up each paper. Instead we will be charged a token fee. I do not know more than that it was in one of today's Sunday tabloids (The People, page 33), but I certainly think it would be worth supporting. I intend to write to Mr Darvill offering him my support and will urge my own MP to support Mr Darvill's Bill when it comes before the House. Your MP can be contacted at : House of Commons, London SW1A 0AA.
