ON HOLD--It seems strange not to be able to pick up the phone and have a long conversation with Jackie. At least our long distance calls will be lower this month. Her company is leaving Sat., and then we will be back in business. JOHN CALHOUN and AMANDA CANADY--I don't know why I want to call him John Sinclair. I did it twice and that's not good. But the rest is going OK. Deb seems to be making some progress. JAMES RATLIFF AND TABITHA AVERY-Gene Hardy Whaley lost his material when lightning came through the telephone wire into his computer, so he is starting over. Is there anyone out there from Dale Co AL that remembers the James Ratliff family--Children: Julia, James W, Joseph Thomas, Lizzie, Malcolm/Mike, Mattie and Henry Melton? Gene wants parents and siblings for James Ratliff--I think there should be a death certificate or obituary because his death was in 1928. Can anyone help? JOHN and MARY AIRHEART--I think maybe we have the lines for Joy and Nita in good order now--we ended up with 10 of those TEXANS. I think we probably had 10 different editions for each of them. ANGELA WHALEY is working on a web showing her husband's line back to Richard Whaley and Frances Cromwell. She, like several others, is waiting for someone to discover the missing Whaley--son of Henry, and father of James. Otherwise her husband's line is a long one. GEORGE WHALEY- I have 40 *G Whaleys* on disk and 37 of them are named GEORGE. I am now in the H group where Hannah and Henry are showing up in vast numbers. Our total now is 650 Families on disk. Jackie has good hard copy for each and can easily have them copied onto acid free paper for preservation for the future, but the trouble is that these FGSs are constantly going through revisions as new material comes in, and once in a while we find a mistake ---ask Angela. DAVID ALEX- Santana--I will try to get an opinion for you this weekend.
