Dear Lyn, We are Larry Harmon and Carolyn Harmon. My husband is descended from William and Patience Whaley, Lewis Whaley, and then Julia Jane Whaley Ballard, all of Duplin, or Jones NC. I was previously subscribed at my work e-mail: [email protected] The server crashed for several weeks at work, and I could not send or receive e-mail. This also seemed to unsubscribe me from most of the Rootsweb lists that I had subscribed to, including the Whaley list. In the meantime, we got a new computer for Christmas, and have a new e-mail address at home so we subscribed here. The list has been exciting for us, as we met Carmen Lyons, Jaqueline Boykin, and others who are close cousins- all from the children of Lewis Whaley and Anna Turner. My husbands mother remembered playing with Carmen's grandfather when she was a child. We were able to fill in some holes in our family information after talking to her.
