Thank you Ruby & Jackie! I have lots on the McNabb family just can't find Margaret's parents and the only candidates in Washington (where she married Taylor McNabb 30 Jul 1840) and/or Carter Counties TN are John (in 1830) and Matilda (1830 & 1840) in Carter Co TN. Were there any Whaleys in Washington Co TN in 1840?? Margaret's husband, Taylor McNabb, lived in Carter Co TN in 1830 but I can't find him in 1840. He and Margaret lived in Union Co GA from about 1841-sometime between 1853-1856 at which time they moved to Polk Co TN; lived in McMinn Co TN in 1870 until their deaths -- Taylor in 1876 and Margaret in 1889. Jackie -- do you have any suggestions on how I could prove or disprove that Matilda Whaley was the mother of my Margaret? Thanks again....
