My fellow Whaley cousins: I am one of many looking for the parents of Thomas Whaley b. 1772 Worcestor Co Md who married Margaret BRATTEN/BRATTON ca 1790, daughter of Samuel Bratten and Sarah GIVAN (hope I have that right). In sorting through some papers I came across my copy of Whaleys/Wallys in 1790 Worcestor census. There are two: Seth with a passel of children and one presumes wife AND Isaac with 2 males above 16 years and five females. In the 1800 census, there is Isaac, but there is Seth, Thomas and an Elisha Whealer, maybe Whaley??? I don't think I have heard discussion of this Isaac. I know we have eliminated this Seth as father of Thomas but what about Isaac??? Could Thomas be the second male over sixteen? I presume that he has been eliminated as well??? I went through the archives and didn't find anything on him. I note that Thomas & Margaret's son Elijah named a son Isaac. So I am curious?? Who is Isaac? FYI, the 1790 census is online at the Worcestor Md site: Index is here: ftp://ftp.rootsweb.com/pub/census/md/worcester/1790/indx-a-z.txt Page-by-Page list is here: ftp://ftp.rootsweb.com/pub/census/md/worcester/1790/pg00123.txt Isaac is next to an Alexander Givan on the list. Thanks in advance...Am getting ready to make another go at Thomas.
