The second character in Thomas' age has been over-written. It does not look like the other 2s on the film. It looks more like a 7 or a 1. Of course, it could be a 2. Thomas and his parents were all born in NY. Hattie and her parents were born in Canada. They owned their home and it was free of mortgage. Thomas was a laborer and employed by the Railroadxxx (I couldn't make out the last three letters). Hope this helps someone. George
