Perhaps they have already answered you, but if not, here is my 2 cents' worth. 1. William Whaley m Nancy Pulham, Culpeper Co VA. William was b pre 1765 according to the 1810 census, Warren Co KY. William d 1832 Washington Co MO so he could not be the father of the George who was b c. 1834, two years after William died. (I believe it was William's son John who married Cynthia___who would be your next generation.) 2. John Whaley m Cynthia____and when he d the 1850 census shows Cynthia Whaley with 8 children, one of whom was George, age 16. 3. George m Gilillah/Gilla Ann Cobb--I believe this is the George you are listing. I can't account for the spelling in the wife's name--I found it many different ways. This George mar Gilillah (Gilla Ann Cobb) 8-4-1853. George and Gilla Ann had a son James who mar Mary Elizabeth Day. George's pension application says George was b 1834. The pension application only consisted of 5 pages and had very little family info on them. They did indicate that he was born c. 1834 and they were dated in May 1892. I could not find him or his wife in 1900 so perhaps he died bet 1892 and 1900. Then, too, they could have moved. And,--maybe Roger, who has quite a lot of info on this line, can help you. 4. James Whaley m Mary Elizabeth Day, St. FRANCOIS Co MO. James was b 3- -1858 MO. James 42, and Mary E. 28 were in Jefferson Co MO in 1900 with children : Mary A. 14, Edith 6, Gertrude 4, Marvin 2, and Irvin 4/12, If all these ages are correct, it would seem that James was married before and perhaps Mary A. was from that marriage.
