    1. Your Whaley Ancestors--Eli, etc.--Elizabeth G. Brett
    2. Dear Elizabeth Brett, etal. I thought everyone would be cooking in preparation for tomorrow. But the Whaleys keep popping up from all over. So--Thanksgiving Greetings to all of you. And to Elizabeth-- Your entry re ELY has me flipping pages in our Whaley Book- "The Early GA Whaleys-A Closer Look" so I can answer. Your Ely is really ELI, s/o William Whaley and Hannah Brewton/Bruton, etc. who came to GA from MD or DE in 1775. We have found no connection between this family and Genezar--maybe some day!!!!! Eli had a son James D. as you say, but James D. (according to what we have on him, had sons James Lewis, Isaac B. and Agrippa J.) He had other sons, but we have no names for them. You mentioned Rachel's last name (Authur) and we were never able to find that. My partner, Jackie Weeden, who was the instigator of the Whaley book and did most of the research, is preparing for 20 or so guests tomorrow and I really don't want to call her. She is not on line. AND she is in another state. James D. had a brother James Russell-- We have Family Group Sheets for three Calebs on disk here, but I don't think any of them fit your Caleb. One section of our book has much data re this large family of William and Hannah. We will share FGSs, etc. And maybe you have some answers from your end.
