Dear Tammy--from Jackie Weeden. I read you message that was in the 11-17-99 Digest #250. The location is MN and the time span is the early 1900s. The census records I have found correspond with a son named Arthur George and a father named Earl. However, the census records seem to show that Arthur G. was b c. 1915 (You said 7-5-1913). You also said that Earl 'was married' ? in Ireland or Holland. You were right to use the question marks from the looks of the census records. Earl, it would seem, was the son of Henry b 1863 ?KS and Mary b. 1873 in IA. 1920 census shows Henry b in Canada--so that is 'up for grabs'. You should be able to find more info on this family in both Martin and Traverse Co MN--marriage, death, probate and cemetery records should be there. Here are some census records for 1900 and 1920 from soundex--the actual records would be more complete. 1900 Martin Co MN, Welcome, ED 171, p. 1 Henry Whaley--------b 7-1863--age 36--b KS Mary Whaley wife--b 12-1873--age 26--b IA Loyed Whaley son--b 12-1889--age 10--b IA (Evidently Lloyd) Elva Whaley dau--b 4-1891--age 8--b MN Earl Whaley son--b 6-1893--age 6--b MN Ethel Whaley dau--b 9-1895 --age 4--b MN 1920 Traverse Co MN, ED 197 or 147, p. 12 Earl Whaley----------26 b MN Jane Whaley-wife 23 b MN Arthur Whaley son 4 6/12 b MN Ervin Whaley son 2 b MN 1920, Traverse Co MN, ED 197, or 147, p. 2 Anna E.
