March 26 1936 Charlie Burns died at his home near Tentontown Sunday morning at 4:30 o'clock of lobar pneumonia following influenza. He was the son of the late Larrie and Anna Whaley Burns, of near Thomas, and was aged 54 years and 7 days. Surviving him are his widow and three sons, George L., Stanley and Gene. Another son died in infancy. He is also survived by four brothers W. T. Burns, Henry Burns, Lawrence Burns and John Burns, and four sisters Mrs. Liddle Monson, Mrs. Lizzie Monson, Mrs O. D. Wiggins, of this county and Mrs. Charles Medley of Paris. Another sister, Mrs. Alice Lewis, is preceased to the grave several years ago. Mr. Burns was a good citizen and was held in high esteem by neighbors and friends. He was a member of the Kentontown Christian Church. Funeral services were held at the Kentontown Christian Church Wednesday afternoon and interment followed in the near by cemetery. Pallbears were; Walter Walker, Wesley Duncan, Leslie VanHook, Forrest Fooks, Lucius Louderback and Grafton Stewart.
