There is a listing in the log of Ship's Passenger Lists of a James Whaley coming to Virginia in 1698, from O'Brien, Michael J. "Granters of Land in Colony & State of VA" Journal of the American Irish Historical Society 13 (1913--14) pp. 214--219. Does anyone know who this is that received a land grant in Virginia?
