    3. Randy: Have you tried the 1900 soundex for James, Wilson, & David Whaley? If you find them as married men does it say each born Ohio? That might be all you need to decide between two or more of the same name. Was Ohio one of the states with all/part of the 1890 census? My Handy Book does not say. On the 1870/80 census where does it say Job/Jobe was born? Since he was born c1832 find him with his parents on 1850 census. All censuses have an index so this should be fairly easy because not all states will have the Whaley name. If he had an 11 yr old on the 1870 census then Job was a married man on the 1860 census. Where was he 1860? Start with Ohio and find out which Whaley names were on that census. Research takes patience & time and sometimes money. Try these things first because they are free. Jean W.
