Hello Carolyn, My name is Deborah Whaley Handshew, 125 Sugar Maple Dr. Etters PA 17319. My present Whaley relatives live in Western PA. We trace our family back to Theophilus Whaley from England. My father John Whaley had done some Whaley research and I am interested in learning more. At the present time I am wanting for him to send me the information he has already gathered. Once I have that info I will e-mail back with the dates on Theophilus. We have a family story that he was a member of the Kings guard and in a plot to kill the king. When the plot was disovered he fled to American to save his life. My great aunt would tell a wonderful tale about him escaping from England.
