    3. In the research I have done on Major General Edward Whalley, his son John was born 1633, and married a Springate, daughter of Sir Herbert Springate. John was also a member of Parliment for the town of Nottingham in 1654. John's son , Hebert, owned family estates in England in 1672. In my family information, it states that John settled in Delaware. This was a study done by my Aunt Clara Whaley who was born in 1886, >From Susan Babcock ----- Original Message ----- From: "Carolyn Vosburg" <lynvos@sbcglobal.net> To: <WHALEY-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Monday, January 01, 2007 9:57 PM Subject: [WHALEY] MORE on The Regicide! > Rec'd this recently from a cuzzin: > >> Edward's brother John (1633-1693) was an MP from 1658-59 (under >> Cromwell's Protectorate) and later settled in South Carolina. > > Does anyone know if Lord Edward Whalley's brother, John, settled in > S.C.? > If not, where does this John fit in? > > C. > > > Carolyn Whaley Vosburg > Houston, TX > > > ------------------------------- > To unsubscribe from the list, please send an email to > WHALEY-request@rootsweb.com with the word 'unsubscribe' without the quotes > in the subject and the body of the message

    3. Sue, Do you have an electronic copy or just a copy of the research done by your Aunt Clara Whaley? I would really like to get a copy . My lineage is supposedly from the son of John Whaley (William) who came with his brother, Charles Thomas, to Edisto SC from MD. I am trying to find a DNA donor from this line to compare my DNA. At this time no one from the John Whaley line has come forward. I am looking for a male donor from the Alexander Whaley TN SC line to come forward. At this time I have only 3 Whaley's to compare DNA and non of them are a match. Thanks for any info, Charles Michael Whaley I Whaley Family Surname Project Admin ----- Original Message ----- From: "Sue Babcock" <sbabcock21@yahoo.com> To: <whaley@rootsweb.com> Sent: Saturday, January 13, 2007 9:54 PM Subject: Re: [WHALEY] MORE on The Regicide! > In the research I have done on Major General Edward Whalley, his son John > was born 1633, and married a Springate, daughter of Sir Herbert Springate. > John was also a member of Parliment for the town of Nottingham in 1654. > John's son , Hebert, owned family estates in England in 1672. > In my family information, it states that John settled in Delaware. This was > a > study done by my Aunt Clara Whaley who was born in 1886, >>From Susan Babcock > ----- Original Message ----- > From: "Carolyn Vosburg" <lynvos@sbcglobal.net> > To: <WHALEY-L@rootsweb.com> > Sent: Monday, January 01, 2007 9:57 PM > Subject: [WHALEY] MORE on The Regicide! > > >> Rec'd this recently from a cuzzin: >> >>> Edward's brother John (1633-1693) was an MP from 1658-59 (under >>> Cromwell's Protectorate) and later settled in South Carolina. >> >> Does anyone know if Lord Edward Whalley's brother, John, settled in >> S.C.? >> If not, where does this John fit in? >> >> C. >> >> >> Carolyn Whaley Vosburg >> Houston, TX >> >> >> ------------------------------- >> To unsubscribe from the list, please send an email to >> WHALEY-request@rootsweb.com with the word 'unsubscribe' without the >> quotes >> in the subject and the body of the message > > > ------------------------------- > To unsubscribe from the list, please send an email to > WHALEY-request@rootsweb.com with the word 'unsubscribe' without the quotes > in the subject and the body of the message >
