    3. Sorry if I led to confusion This list is for people interested in just getting the test done. After you get the test done the company doing the testing compares the DNA to others in your DNA Project telling you who is related and how..... 3. Let me go into a bit more detail. The list is for those who are interested in getting the Y-DNA37 test done. You will be responsible for the cost of getting your DNA test. If you cant afford it maybe we can come up with a way to make it affordable. Once we have a diverse enough sampling of DNA for the Whaley surname. Meaning at least one sample from some of the major branches of the Whaley surname me and anyone else who wishes to donate thier time will begin to look at how each of the families coorilate. This will be done by looking at how each family relates and this is told to us by the DNA lab we send our DNA into. We then use those coorilations to find out where we all branched out along the way. Once we begin to figure that out maybe some gaps and holes in some family line can be filled in by other lines with common descent. The possibilites and benefits are endless and I am a bit busy so I will not go into everything as of yet.
