Justin, it sounds fascinating, even though I'm not a qualified candidate. As I understand it, the tests are only useful for a male descended through a male line, and I'm the daughter of a female Whaley. I have two living cousins who qualify, and I emailed them a while back to see if they were interested and got no reply. My mother's father was a Whaley, and the cousins I mentioned are sons of her two brothers 9now deceased). Nevertheless, I am still very interested because of the "brick wall" in my Whaley research. I've never been able to positively identify my greatgrandfather.
