Thanks to Carolyn H. for information on Onslow County marriages. I'm disappointed you did not find the marriage of Carrie Octavia WHALEY and William Gaston ROUSE, my grandparents. "Bill" ROUSE's family lived in Jones County and he and Carrie Ocatavia are buried beside the Piney Grove Baptist Church in that County. They were married abt. 1903 and lived in Dover (Craven County), North Carolina, where they owned a farm and he was chief-of-police. The Rouse family was native to Lenoir County.
