I found the following WHALEY marriages. They are mostly of grooms, as the register is alphabetical by the groom's name and not the bride's. Some of the data was copied from a previous index, and the indication was that they did not have the original license. Shaw, J.P. 25 Dec 1912 I also looked at the letter "J" and found the following WHALEY brides. Robert JARMAN & Mary E. WHALEY, Zacheus BROWN J.P. 24 Dec 1868 Edward T. JONES & Sallie E. WHALEY, W.W. DENNY M.G., 1 Jan 1890 ( Sallie was a daughter of Levi J. WHALEY and Sarah E. and a grandaughter of Lewis WHALEY.) The next later set of marriages told what county the couple were from. All were from Onslow, so I have not indicated that. WHALEY I was looking for the marriage of Carrie Octavia WHALEY and William Gaston ROUSE, by I did not find it. I stopped with the W section in Dec 1916, the J section in 1911.
