    2. To John Whaley Jr., Whaley Search Party members, etal. Jackie Weeden found another census record pertaining to Price Newton/Newton Price, ancestor of John Whaley, Jr. 1910 Greene Co MO, Springfield (From Soundex) N.P. Whaley....................37.....b MO Millie Whaley.....wife........37.....b IN Phillip Whaley....son........12.....b OK Lois Whaley.......dau..........8.....b KS J.S. Whaley......son..........3.....b KS (Evidently the J.S. is the Jack Jay, grandfather of John Whaley, Jr.) She needs the Okmulgee Co OK 1920 Census. In 1880 when Hugh and Newton P. were young boys living with their mother Martha, they should be under guardianship, as their father was deceased and in those days it was imperative that children without fathers have a guardian. The guardianship papers would tell the father's name. This was in Jasper Co MO. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Well! I had this ready to send when the message from Pam Shelden came in giving the parents of Price Newton. Since James Elijah was m in NY, Jackie will look at those census records. She said she thought Martha was b at Seneca. So now John Whaley Jr. has the parents of his Newton Price/Price Newton. And the census record above gives some more data re PN and Millie's family. Now we have data coming in at both ends! Sooner or later, we will find out who the S. Whaley was who wrote his name in the violin in 1862. Could he be the father of James Elijah???? The mystery continues. Rlnsd Thanks, George for passing the Shelden message on to WSP.
