I am trying to locate a Whaley, either from New York State or Canada who married a woman with the name Parshall, Pearisol, Perisall. It appears my G.Grand Father Born Dec 17,1833 was conscripted into the Civil War. He deserted and fled to Canada where he married my G.Grandmother in Wolf Island Ontario on Oct 10,1865. When he fled the U.S. he assumed the last name of his Brother-in-Law a Whaley. If we can find a Whaley who had married a woman with a name similar to parshall, pearisol, etc his wife's maiden name will be my G.Grandfathers true last name. Any assistance you could give me would be greatly appreciated. Thank you Gerald Whaley
