    3. This is just a report of new information I've received regarding my Whaley "sideline" (my mother was a Whaley, but this info concerns my sister-in-law's line. Her name is Mary Whaley). Gen 1: Marion F. (Frank) Whaley, b. Oct. 21, 1864, d. Nov. 22, 1945; came from either England or Germany and settled in the Bonham, Tex., area around the early 1890s. His wife (name not known) was full-blood German, spoke little English; b. Feb. 19, 1874, d. Mar. 14, 1933 in Bonham. Gen 2: Vervin Verlon Whaley b. in Bonham April 7, 1894, d. Oct. 28, 1962 in Hugo, Okla., buried in Bonham. M. Annie Lavada Robinson (mother of Verlon Dempsey; V. V. had at least one other wife). V. V.'s brother was Marron Ernest Whaley, b. May 19,1895, d. Sept. 30, 1918, apparently in WWI (there's a U.S. flag and patriotic poem engraved on the headstone). Gen 3: Verlon Dempsey Whaley, b. 10/16/23 in Bonham, Texas; wife Mary Oselee Boggs, b. 8/13/23 in Burkburnett, Texas; married Feb. 7, 1942, in Ardmore, OK. Gen 4: Mary Lavada Whaley (plus other children, and two younger generations) Marion F., Mrs. M. F., V. V., and Marron Ernest Whaley are buried in Hampton Cemetery at Edhube, near Bonham. I have photos of these headstones, thanks to a kind gentleman in that county who photographed them and e-mailed the pictures to me, in response to my query on a message board. As yet I've no indication if there's a relationship between this line and my mother's. My mother's mysterious Whaley grandfaher has not yet been located (father of Jesse Monroe Whaley), though I am investigating an intriguing possibility of an identity for Jesse's father. __________________________________________ NetZero - Defenders of the Free World Get your FREE Internet Access and Email at http://www.netzero.net/download/index.html
