To Whaley Search Party A great institution in CyberSpace. I cannot imagine how anyone would think that Ruby and Jackie do not provide a great service to all of us. Where do we put the trash? out! So if someone talks trash then let's just put it out. out of our minds! and reaffirm our thanks to these two fine ladies. Ruth Ann Allaire a gggrandaughter of Lucy Whaley Harvey

Ruby and Jackie, You may not need "one more" amen, but here it is anyway. I am one of those at a brick wall, searching for a Whaley great-grandfather who didn't have the courtesy to leave a clear trail. Even though I haven't found him yet, I fully expect to, eventually, thanks in large part to the quality work and extreme dedication of you two. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK! NO, the message did not come from WSP. George would not allow that sort of thing to be entered here. I got a message this morning re the *message*-- From: [email protected] To: [email protected] Please visit http://www.familyhistory.com/messages/showmsg.asp?id=1262975 to view a recent reply to your message. And we don't know what message she was replying to. Jackie was so distraught that she wondered if we should continue. And she wondered if WSP felt the same way. So I asked you. And so far over 20 positive replies have come in. Thanks, gang, we needed that. We don't know the person who wrote the message. But I wrote a reply and read it to Jackie on the phone and then entered it. Amen. rlnsd
I was looking up relations for the Ladd Forum in "The Ladd Family Book" published in 1890 when I was lambasted by some ignorant and misinformed person for giving out false & incorrect information. I simply assured this person that Mr. Ladd who wrote the book in the late 1800s was just distraught over the fact that his computer crashed and had to depend on the written word from the families for his sources. CARRY ON LADIES. WE ARE ALL BEHIND YOU. Marian Jones
Hi WSPERs, I was upset when I read Ruby's message. But then I was really proud when I saw all the positive responses. You all are a great bunch. Negative comments about anyone are very, very rare here. It seems it's been more than a year since one showed up. Note that Terri Parker is not a member of the Whaley Search Party. Actually I would welcome her here. If she would lurk for a few weeks without making unfounded judgements, she would realize the great service Ruby and Jackie provide freely to any Whaley researchers. They are what makes this the best mail group I belong to. Have a great day George [email protected] wrote: > The message below came in on the Whaley Message Board! > Tuesday, April 04, 2000 > Subject: Ruby Nelson & Jackie Weeden > Posted by:Terri Parker: > [snip] > > To WSP members--Well, shall we continue or call it quits???? > Ruby > >
I don't know about the rest of you, but I am very happy with the way that Ruby and Jackie are working together on all of our Whaley history. They have really supplied me with some very interesting information about my line of the family. I have also sent them information that I have come across when I went to Gainesville. This person who is "bashing" them is totally out of control and should not have reacted that way. Ruby and Jackie are going out of their way to help each and every one of us. I for one am very grateful to them. Does anyone even know who this person is or why they are on the Whaley message board? I say to Jackie and Ruby to keep doing what they are doing, without them a bunch of us may still be in the dark about some of our ancestors!!!!!!! They are great........keep up the good work!!!!!!! Nita Whaley Irvine
i am sorry, but i don't understand why someone would say something terrible about two people that do so much for others. kristina and please continue the good work ruby and jackie and don't listen to that person.
Please remove me from the search party. Thanks Jim Suttles
Ladies- I don't believe I would acknowledge much of anything hurled by a Neanderthal. I believe they may be on the way to extinction anyway. You should seriously consider sticking to the modern and honest researchers. Keep up the great work! Robert Whaley Rochester, NY

I agree with Jack. Stand fast in the face of ignorance!
I wouldn't call it quits over this! The people on this list are all here because we enjoy & appreciate your work & efforts. If someone doesn't like it, they don't need to be a part of it. The internet seems to be full of people who are all smoke & wind. Just people who are too scared to yell boo at a bunny in the real world! :-) Funny how the ambiguity of the web brings out the worst... Just my opinions...
