I'm looking for relatives of John Alexander MCKESSOCK [b. 1792] and Martha Somerville [b. 1799] who emigrated to Canada from Beith parish in 1843. Their children were all born in Scotland. John Alexander [b. Sept. 19, 1833] James [b. 1835] Janet [b. 1837] Robert [b. May 30, 1839 in Dumphries, Scotland] Mary [b. 1841] The family story is that a brother of John Alexander's came with them and died shortly after arrival here. We are planning a family reunion for all McKessocks for this coming July and would dearly love to have extended our tree over the pond!
