My ancestors came to N.E. Eng. from Scotland. In an old letter that I have it is mentioned that a William or John came from Breadalbane castle where he was an Earl of Breadalbane castle. He eventually came to NBL county and he became a stone mason.Any info on the CARMICHAEL line would be appreciated. The earliest date I have is a marr. of John CARMICHAEL in Ancroft,Eng.in 1812.
