You didn't mention how you know the place of birth (what great info) but have you written Belfast for records of her birth? This could posssibly lead you to her parents origin. BTW, my daughter and I were in Newry about 3 years ago. We rented a car and drove down from Belfast (a fun place). A nice town of friendly people. We spent a night there at Ms. Lottie's B&B.
