Hi all My Aunt was tracing a bit of my family tree (Gulline) back in the 1980's but she died before completion. I have copies of little bits of her work and after going through it all again I have picked out some points she mentions. The Wigtown Free Press Newspapers records The Galloway Gazette Newspapers records "Tax Collection Lists for 1692 for Wigtownshire Hearth" "Parish Lists of Wigtownshire 1684" "Highways & Byways of Galloway" book (mentioned in 1880's letter so can't be the 1910 one I keep finding on the web) "Surnames of Scotland" book by Dr George Fraser Black pub. 1946 "Lands & Owners" Vol.2 "History of Gallowat" by MacKenzie (2 volumes) Old book printed in 1880 with some reference to Gulline's. Sorry it is a bit obscure but has any ideas on where I can start with this list. Thank you in advance Carrie
